He has a particular interest in working with men struggling to cope with workplace stress, bullying and relationships. He specialises in men’s sexual concerns including sexually compulsive behaviours, infidelity, sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation), libido concerns, sexual trauma/sexual abuse, sexual identity and gender dysphoria. He provides WPATH assessments for the gender diverse community. Marcus adopts a “sex positive” and progressive attitude towards sex and sexuality.
EMDR & HYPNOSIS
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Marcus offers EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, which is highly effective therapy that helps people rapidly work through traumatic memories and emotions. EMDR uses specific eye movements or other types of bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and make sense of past experiences. Many people find EMDR helpful for reducing the distress caused by trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD and other challenging feelings. During treatment, support is provided as you explore and reframe painful memories, leading to rapid emotional relief and healing. EMDR is a safe and collaborative approach that can lead to long-lasting positive change.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Marcus is trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy, an evidence-based approach that effectively addresses a variety of mental health and behavioural concerns. Using hypnotherapy, Marcus helps clients manage anxiety, fears, phobias like social anxiety and fear of public speaking, OCD, trauma symptoms such as flashbacks, addictions including nicotine and cannabis, sexual dysfunction, and issues with anger and self-esteem. Most treatments are completed in two to four sessions, focusing on specific concerns like overcoming a fear of flying.
